Dr, Arat served her colleagues and the orthodontics profession. She had the honour of serving as the President of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists from 2018 to 2019. She remains an active participant in professional meetings and conferences, fostering colaaboration and engaging in forward-thinking decisions to advance the future of orthodontics. Dr. Arat is currently assisting the OAO board as the Immediate Past President.
Dr. Arat’s passion for mentoring follows her outside the university. Her undergraduate students and orthodontic residents from the University of Toronto Orthodontics program can sometimes be seen at Leaside Orthodontic Centre, shadowing her while she helps her patients on their journey to achieving beautiful smiles.
