Ron Tuazon

Dental Assistant

Completing my dentistry degree in the Philippines in 2019, my journey encountered an unexpected twist with the onset of COVID-19. Adapting to the situation, I engaged in part-time work at a friend's clinic from June 2020 onward. In August 2022, driven by the aspiration to practice dentistry in a new environment, I made the move to Toronto, Canada.

While patiently awaiting permanent residency and the subsequent two years of required dental school in Canada, I began as a Dental Assistant to understand Canadian practices. I broadened my knowledge by working as a Surgery Assistant in an oral surgery office for a year. Seeking a well-rounded experience I further expanded my insights in an orthodontic office and work as a Dental assistant at Leaside Orthodontic Centre. This period of learning and anticipation sets the stage for my upcoming educational pursuit and the excitement of contributing to the Canadian dental landscape.
