ORTHODONTIC BRACES

The most commonly known fixed orthodontic appliance is BRACES.

In my office I use two different types of braces: Metal Braces and Clear Braces.

Metal braces are small metal attachments that are bonded on each tooth with tooth-coloured glue. This glue is strong enough to withstand orthodontic forces during treatment and is easily removed without damaging tooth enamel at the end of treatment. The arch-wire is the active element of the system, and it moves teeth to their desired positions. The arch-wire is held in the metal attachments by metal clips or colourful elastic rings. The colours can be changed at every orthodontic visit if desired.

Clear braces are small ceramic attachments that are bonded on each tooth. They are used for patients who prefer a less visible option during their orthodontic treatment.
